More Troops?

If America had parents, would we be fighting a war? If your house was like mine, physical blows meant a "time out" instead of calling for back up. Sure, it's more fun to "duke it out" but then someone gets hurt and both parties are sorry they started. We rush to fight like the biggest bully on the block uses his size to make a point. I was always the smallest leaving my wit to win them over. I usually lost.

America wins, most of the time, but all the smaller countries resent our force. Once an African friend visiting our country was surprized that we didn't have tanks on our streets. The World sees us with guns, sadly. We need to change our image.

When a friend wronged me, as a child, I was told to "be the bigger person". Which meant, find ways to make amends. Al-Quida need to be contained and I am not sure at this point if we can win them over. But by building the infastructure such as schools, roads, buisnesses, hospitals we are restoring our relationship with the world.

  1. Perhaps...Corporations have too much influence in our elected officials actions? I work for a big multinational company. They spend more time and money posturing with government officials and are always ready to have me communicate with my elected officials using their prepackaged messages all I have to do is click on link and it will appear that I sent it to congress.

We must continue to funnel money and power away from companies, that choose to influence our government officials!

I look forward to working for socially responsible employers. I try to purchase from and support organizations with a balanced approach to business around the world!

We can have peace on this planet! And it can start now! With you and I!
